Who we are
Since 2018, The Viwanda Africa Group has invested in efforts to improve the quality of care by connecting healthcare facilities with high-impact innovative healthcare technologies.
This work includes fostering greater awareness of urgent root causes of newborn morbidity and mortality through Continuous Medical Education (CME), as well as testing and implementing proven, high-impact interventions.
While great strides have been made in improving healthcare systems; such interventions are still not reaching the most vulnerable. We aim to build on this progress by prioritizing our focus to better understand, address and target the root causes of poor health. To offer evidence-based recommendations, to accelerate adaptation by key country decision-makers and maximize the efficacy of interventions by delivering the right health interventions to the right communities at the right time.
We know that The Viwanda Africa Group cannot achieve this goal alone. We rely on forged partnerships and work closely with doctors, nurses, government leaders, healthcare innovators; and continue to seek global partners. With these collaborations we can contribute to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 3 – to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
